StreamElements

Connecting brands and creators through a advertising marketplace

At StreamElements, I have been leading the development of a marketplace that aims to revolutionize how brands and creators do advertisements on streaming channels. The project involves collaborating with DevOps, Senior Backend, and Data Engineers to provide various squads' core infrastructure tools such as AuthZ, NATs, and Observability.

The client is content creators who want to level up their game by engaging their audience, monetizing their content, and building their brand. The marketplace provides them with an easy way to configure and run advertising campaigns on their streaming channels, thereby helping them generate revenue.

The main challenge we face with this project is scaling up to thousands of deployments running at the same time, while also making it easy for users to configure campaigns and get reports. To address this challenge, we have been using cloud-native architecture and technologies like GCP, CockroachDB, and MongoDB. Additionally, we have been leveraging the benefits of TypeScript and Go programming languages to develop the solution.

The result of this ongoing project has been promising, with the marketplace gaining traction and interest from content creators and brands alike. Our team has been able to build a platform that allows creators to monetize their content while also providing brands with a unique and engaging way to reach their target audience. We are continuing to work on scaling the platform, ensuring its stability and performance, and adding new features to improve the user experience.
